Rabbit Convention - Original painting

Original oil painting on stretched canvas 40x40cm. Framed with black box frame. Framed size 44x44cm. Frame depth 3.5cm.
The painted image of the black and white etching at the back is a homage to a series my artist mother Joan Bauer did which was based on the one-eared rabbit toy she bought with her o Australia from England as a child.
The knitted rabbit on the left is Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit and is a toy that belonged to my daughter artist Sarah Matsuda. Thumper is there in a book on the right and the little gardener and angel doll have a chat about the weather. It's a good day for rowing under rainbows.
