Secret Robins

I have two namesake birds. The Bowerbird which often features in my paintings and the Robin which made an appearance in the Still Life Series. I love these little guys so much. There are 49 different species of Robin in Australia and my favourites are the Pink, Flame and Red-capped Robins.

Just for a bit of fun while painting this series I decided to include a hidden Robin in each painting. Sort of like a "Where's Wally"?

Here are just a few of them below. These are tiny details which have been enlarged as you can see from the enlarged canvas weave.

In the paintings these tiny Robins are only a few Millimetres across. Some of them are so well hidden that even I couldn't find them! There are 30 paintings in the series so this is just a fraction of them.
