I am so excited that I have finally finished my massive 6 metre long panel painting. I have to hire special screens to hang it in my gallery for my new show which opens on 19 October. Please note that there is no opening night for this exhibition but it will be hanging for three weeks.

Here is sneak peak of some details of the big blue painting.
"OUT OF THE BLUE"
As you can probably tell, all my usual influences have been incorporated. Scenes and views of Brisbane city and suburbs, particularly Paddington, Bardon and Red Hill; native animals, reptiles and birds including the extinct thylacine; blue and white porcelain and china; native trees such as Fig trees as well as exotic imported specimens such as tulips and day lilies; all have been placed symbolically to tell a complicated narrative of where I live at this moment in time. It is painted in oil over acrylic on canvas stretchers. Hope you can make it into the Paddington gallery to see it.
