The Owl and the Goldfinch - Original painting

Original oil painting on stretched canvas 40x40cm. Framed with black box frame 44x44cm. Framed depth 3.5cm.
Here I have painted a postcard of the Goldfinch from the Maurithaus in The Hague and Durer's little owl on my studio wall surrounded by a few other suggestive treasures  including the book of the Louvre and a little bronze sculpture of a minstrel. It all represents a type of travel without leaving home - armchair travel perhaps.
